Caspian EYE

Multimodal Logistics Control Tower

Decision-grade visibility and risk intelligence for freight across the Trans-Caspian and Middle Corridor — sea, port, rail, and road in one coherent picture.

Caspian EYE is an operational platform for international corridor logistics. It unifies shipment tracking, port congestion, marine weather, asset positions, and composite risk scoring into a single API and Control Tower console. Operators and integrators get explainable ETAs, ranked risk factors, and a full multimodal timeline — not isolated data points.

The system is built on real upstream data (live weather, ingestion feeds, partner events) with honest data provenance. AI enriches NLP and narrative explanations; formulas and connectors supply the numbers that drive risk and ETA decisions.

What the system does

Risk assessment & demurrage exposure

Weighted composite risk scores (0–100) with explainable factors: port congestion, weather along route, ETA deviation, customs delays, and corridor-specific signals.

  • Fleet-wide risk summary and geographic heatmap
  • Per-shipment breakdown with cascade on ETA override
  • Live weather/port inputs when connectors are active

ETA prediction & explainability

Baseline arrival estimates from route geometry, nominal speeds, and port conditions — with ranked delay factors and confidence levels.

  • Multimodal leg chain: sea → port → rail → road
  • Override workflow with risk recalculation
  • ETA history and overdue detection

End-to-end shipment traceability

Every shipment is a cross-linked graph: legs, containers, events, documents, route GeoJSON, and timeline — reconciled across all API views.

  • ISO 6346 containers, valid IMO/MMSI assets
  • CSV manifest upload and partner event push
  • 76 REST operations + live WebSocket stream

Real-time corridor monitoring

Live map of vessels, trains, and trucks with WebSocket position updates, port lineup, feed health, and operational KPIs.

  • Curated Caspian / Middle Corridor geography
  • Open-Meteo marine weather (production live)
  • AIS overlay architecture (hybrid fallback)

NLP event processing

Turn unstructured port, customs, and operator messages into classified timeline events with entity resolution against the live world model.

  • Classify, extract, ingest pipelines
  • Manual and partner-driven event sources
  • Exception detection for control-tower alerts

Integration-ready API

OAuth2 JWT, RBAC by organization, OpenAPI 3.1 contract, RFC 7807 errors, and documented workflow chains for TMS and partner systems.

  • Webhook dispatch with HMAC signing
  • Role-based rate tiers
  • Prometheus metrics and readiness probes

Purpose. Caspian EYE supports freight forwarders, corridor operators, port authorities, and control-tower teams who need a single source of operational truth for multimodal cargo moving between China, Central Asia, the Caspian, the South Caucasus, and Europe. The north star is decision-grade intelligence: every number is explainable, every endpoint composes with the others, and every observational field declares its provenance (live, simulated, fallback).
